People who come into money then change....

Toots from Singapore has a gripe

Doesn't it annoy you when a person who has made a bit of money thinks they can treat you like dirt because of their newly enlarged bank balance. Don't these people know that they still go in a box in the ground or get toasted one day? For example, a man who has just made some cash decides in his emails he will no longer use pleasantries such as please and thank you. Twats.

Note from Leesie:

Toots, spot on. Work in an investment bank and you will see this every day. Unfortunately, this is the way of the world. There are people (lots of them) who think for that money makes their opinion count more than others. I get emails like:

"We need to get a copy of this to Frank"

That's it. Not "Hi Leesie, please get a copy to Frank. Thanks"

I read these things and think:

1 - would you write to your boss like that? No, so why do you do it to me?
2 - well, then, if we need to get it to Frank, when are we going to do it?  Never! Because "we" means "you". Twat.

You can bet you ass that before these guys came into this cash, they were grovelling little sycophants. I always make myself feel better when I deal with these twats by thinking that their moms probably call them and give them hell for not phoning home enough. Try buying your way out of that!
