Much has been made of the Margaret Thatcher
musical that premiered recently on the West End. Obviously, the BBC saw this as
a good topic for discussion and opened a forum for people to "Have (their) Say".
I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of Maggie's, but I know very little about her
as, by the time I got to the UK, she was long gone and Britain had a new
grinning imp instead. (Who other than the Blairs shows their bottom teeth when
smiling? That's just weird.)
Anyway, so all these people write in and have
their say about Maggie. Some love her, some hate her. Fair enough. But one thing
that really gets to me whenever there's a discussion about Maggie is this
goddamn Taking-Milk-From-Kids-winge. If it's so [expletive]
important, why's no government brought it back? Who do these people vote for?
As far as I'm aware, no party has it on their manifesto to give back kiddies
milk.
Let it go!
