know, I've just rejoined the corporate world. It only took a few
weeks back in the saddle before the rubbish that people spout in
this environment started reappearing...
I received a meeting request for 12 to
1pm. Lunchtime you'd think - and you'd be right. But this was
different, it was billed as a "Lunch and Learn".
What the hell is that?!
I replied to the meeting organiser
asking if she'd be providing sandwiches. No, but there'd be water
and coffee.
My instant reaction was "So it's not
really a 'Lunch and Learn' then, it's more a "Meeting During My
Lunchtime" kind of vibe?"
I declined her invitation and went
out for a sandwich.
She wasn't impressed with my lack of
enthusiasm, but I got over it.
